Compost & Household Recycling

There is a lot you can do to save energy, conserve resources, and protect the environment. Recycling and composting are two simple ways to be Earth Wise and Soil Smart. When you recycle and compost you keep natural and reusable materials out of landfills, rivers, and streams, reduce dependence on new raw materials, save energy, and improve our soils.

Start recycling and composting today.  A yearly permit card is required to use the Compost and Recycling Facility. Permit Cards are available to Schenectady County and Out-of-County residents and businesses.
