Free Concert and Fireworks at Mabee Farm

The Schenectady County Legislature is proud to announce that the 2022 Schenectady County Independence Day Celebration will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the historic Mabee Farm in Rotterdam Junction.

This free family-friendly event begins at 6pm with games and activities. Twenty Ninety-Six will perform and fireworks will be presented after dark, which should start at approximately 9:15pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

“Come celebrate Independence Day with us at historic Mabee Farm – a beautiful spot overlooking the Mohawk River,” said Schenectady County Legislator Cathy Gatta, Chair of the Tourism, Arts & Special Events Committee. “This is the perfect place to sit on a blanket or in lawn chairs to enjoy a night of music and fireworks with your family, friends and neighbors.”

Schenectady County has partnered with the Schenectady County Historical Society, Mabee Farm Historic Site and the Town of Rotterdam to make this event possible.
