Providing temporary, safe, and nurturing homes for children is the essential role of foster parents, while adoptive parents dedicate their lives to raising children with love, care, and stability in a permanent home.
The upcoming training series provides information to families toward becoming certified foster/adoptive parents with the Schenectady County Department of Social Services.
To be a foster or adoptive parent you must sign up, attend, and complete the following training sessions:
