The Schenectady County Legislature announced the winning floats, performances, and bands for the 53rd Annual Holiday Parade Presented by the City and County of Schenectady. The awardees, whose entries were inspired by the parade’s theme, “Dream Big!”, were presented with certificates from the Legislature.

More than 100 floats, marching bands, and performers participated in the parade, which took place in downtown Schenectady on November 19, 2022. The parade was produced under the leadership of the City and County of Schenectady, and in partnership with the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, The Capital Region Chamber, and Discover Schenectady.

“Attending the annual holiday parade has become a tradition for many families in Schenectady County and the Capital Region,” said Schenectady County Legislator Cathy Gatta, Chair of the Tourism, Arts & Special Events Committee. “What makes it so great is the school groups, organizations, and businesses who put in countless hours planning, building floats, and practicing and performing musical pieces and dances. The creativity and energy of these groups made this one of the best parades we’ve had. Congratulations to all the award winners – we can’t wait to see you all again in November!”
