Applications Open for 2025 Youth Bureau Funding

Total of $114,000 in Youth Development Funding and

$106,000 in Youth Sports Funding Available

Schenectady County is taking applications for funding opportunities administered by the County’s Youth Bureau through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Youth Development, Youth Sports Education, and Youth Team Sports funding is available to local community-based organizations and nonprofits that support programs for underserved youth in Schenectady County.

Interested organizations are encouraged to apply for this funding by Friday, October 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The contract dates for 2025 programs will run from January 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.

“We are excited to offer these opportunities to our local organizations in support of youth development and sports programs,” said Schenectady County Legislator Omar McGill, Chair of the Workforce Development Committee. “These funds will help reach more young people in our community, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Applications and required supporting documentation should be emailed to SchenectadySJTA@dfa.state.ny.us by Friday, October 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to be considered for funding.
